If you have never done this before you will need to practice. Lay out the cigarette-paper, flat, glue-side up and away from you. Crumble, use a marijuana grinder, grate or scissor cut your marijuana, you don't want any sticks, lumps or hard sharp bits. Then spread your marijuana or smokeables evenly on the paper from end to end. Evenly is the key word or you end up with a funny looking pregnant joint. Pick the paper and contents up gently with both hands, use your thumbs and fingers to bring the bottom end up near the top and start shaping it all into a cigarette-cone shape. Let your thumbs do the work, lending support and pressure with the fingers. All you're doing is making a rolling motion with the joint-to-be between both your thumbs and forefingers. Some of the contents may fall out of the ends but that doesn't matter. When you have achieved a nice shape, roll the bottom end to about the middle of the joint because you're about to make a crease and roll it inwards with your thumbs. Your thumbs are the key. They can make little creases to fold the joint inwards and upwards. Learn how tight you like to roll your joints. (You can also add a filter to one end as you're adding your mulched up pot. This enables the joint to be smoked to the very end of the cannabis mix.) Roll upwards until you reach the glue area. Lick the glue, not to wet where you'll lick the glue off. Stick the glue down by finishing the rolling motion. Let the joint dry for a while, you can also put the stuff that's fallen out, back in if desired.
First of all you must grind or cut your stash into a fine mulch with no lumps or sticks or such. You want a smooth grind of marijuana. Fill your roller with pot and lightly pack it smooth and evenly down the roller. Load the paper into the roller so the sticky glue side is facing you upwards. Roll the paper into the machine by pressing downwards with your thumbs. Continue to roll the paper up until you see just the strip of glue. Lick the glue and continue to roll downwards with the thumbs. Don't let the joint sit in the machine to dry, get it out right away so the glue doesn't run and stick to the machine when dry. Spark that doobie up and enjoy a perfect joint made easy. Plastic rollers tend to break, so find a metal one.
